God’s mercies abound
Feelings don’t always come first. What I mean is, sometimes we have to take a step even when it doesn’t feel great, and then purpose to look for God’s mercy and trust His heart along the way.
This is how it felt yesterday. We all grieved leaving our family & friends behind. We all struggled with carrying our heavy bags (note to self: pack less in carry ons!!!). We all felt a little sick to our stomachs after the airplane food. And no one slept for more than a couple hours’ time. None of it felt great.
But looking for God’s mercy along the way, it was there. In the small and big things. Not always making things go our way, but just showing us He was there. Here’s a little glimpse…
We’re abundantly thankful for the outpouring of love and support so many have shown these past few days. We’re abundantly thankful for your prayers. We’re also thankful we can move into our home here as soon as we get to Tenwek on Friday (answered prayer & a miracle really). And most of all, we’re thankful for Jesus–that He takes imperfect people like us and chooses to use us to reach the nations.
Thank you!! God bless you! Keep walking by faith… the One who has called you is faithful and He is able to take care of our feelings:)
